Market files

What each destination market requires

Every destination decides for itself what a toilet has to prove before a licensed installer will fit it, and the paperwork differs more than the product does. We keep a market file for each destination we ship to — what the regulation asks for, which documents we hold, and what is still on request. Three are published here today; tell us the market you are buying for and we will send what applies.

The three market files

European Union

CE marking · Declaration of Performance · EN 997

For a WC pan, CE marking is a declaration rather than a sticker. What the market requires is the Declaration of Performance, drawn up against the harmonised standard that covers the product.

Australia & New Zealand

WaterMark · WELS · AS 1976

Two separate approvals stand between a container of toilets and a licensed plumber: WaterMark for the product, and WELS for the water it uses. They are not the same approval.

Saudi Arabia

SASO · PCoC · SABER

Ceramic sanitary ware is a regulated product category in the Kingdom. The consignment needs a certificate — and the importer, not the factory, applies for it.

Send the model codes and the destination

Requirements are confirmed model by model rather than by category. Tell us the codes and where they are going, and we will say which documents we hold and which are still on request — before you commit to samples.
